Some tunes we often overlook in video games are the intro themes of publishing/developing companies, and the boot-up themes to various systems. Here is a medley of system boot-ups and company themes that can be recognized by gamers everywhere, and have special importance to me.
Composer — Various
In order of appearance:
Sony PlayStation 1

Nintendo GameCube
Sega Dreamcast
Microsoft XBox
Microsoft XBox 360 (newest version)
Sega
Konami (newest version)
Konami (heard when playing Metal Gear Solid 1)
Capcom (newest version)
Capcom (older version)
Eidos
Ubisoft
EA
BioWare
Purely for the Konami MGS tune
Though the PS1 theme was suitable epic, which seems to be lost on the later consoles, and would have liked the Amiga CD32 boot up too!
“For instance, on Wall Street right now, you have people who are literally sitting with their feet up on their desks, sipping a latte, while a computer runs a thousand trades a second, based on algorithms—and makes tons of money. Yet people say, “We can’t tax rich people because we’ll discourage them.” We could have a small tax on every one of those lightning trades, and The New York Times says we could pull billions of dollars off of Wall Street to fund massive infrastructure projects across America, and get skilled workers back rebuilding America’s roads, bridges, hospitals, and schools.”
